Ok, to start, this guide is not to help play minecraft, its meant to help new players get into the server. I see new people everyday who come on and have no idea of what to do. Well, its not easy to help using minecraft chat, so here it goes.
To start, this server, populous is an economy server. you can earn money by selling things to other player, selling gold/diamond to bankers, or sometimes doing a job for other people.
When you start, you will have 100 coins. What you will want to do is go into the wild and get some materials. In the wild, (not towns or near bridges,) you are allowed to build, mine, and also get killed. In towns, your mayor can cuboid your property, preventing griefing. But, in the wild, there isn't protection.
Back to when you start. After you spend a few ingame days getting enough materials to build a house and live, try to either find a town to live in, or if you want to take your chances in the wild, wander a few days until you find a safe place. Once you have a settled area, you should probably decide you "form" of money making. it could be getting a job from someone, (i.e banker, builder,) who is either your mayor, (banker, builder,) or if your doing a job for someone, who ever hired you.
The money system.NOTE: this is for people who havent used a server taht has an economy. you can type in the chat /money . This will show you how much money you have. you can also do /money pay (playername) (amount) to give money to another player. If you run across gold or diamond, you can sell it to a banker, who will buy gold for 3000 coins per ingot or 4000 for diamond.
